L.O.L. Surprise! teams up with Manchester FA and Steph Houghton

Published on: 26th February 2021

England Captain Steph Houghton revealed the new L.O.L. All Star B.B.s Football range and announced the partnership to her Instagram followers.

With the news that lockdown is set to ease and grass roots football is to return from 29th March, families across the UK are starting to look ahead for opportunities to get children back outside and enjoying sport. L.O.L. Surprise! has partnered with Manchester Football Association to donate 500 samples of its new All Star B.B.s Football range, to be distributed through Manchester FA’s Wildcats providers across Greater Manchester, to inspire young followers of the brand to get involved in the sport.

As part of the campaign, L.O.L. Surprise! has also teamed up with inspirational England and Manchester City captain Stephanie Houghton MBE, to encourage girls to get outside and playing football. Steph revealed the brand new All Star B.B.s Football range, and the partnership with Manchester FA and its Wildcats providers, to her 218k football mad Instagram followers.

Samantha Wilson, UK marketing director for MGA Entertainment, commented: “L.O.L. Surprise! is all about empowerment and inspiring confidence in young children, this is the perfect partnership to do just that. We’re thrilled to be able to donate 500 samples of the product and hope the partnership will inspire more young girls to take up the sport.”

Wildcats was created to inspire girls aged 5-11 to take up the sport for the first time or who want the opportunity to play football over the spring and summer months. The sessions provide a safe environment where girls can have fun, develop new skills and create foundations for a lifelong love of football.

The All Star B.B.s characters have had a makeover and come with brand new football outfits and accessories, with fans able to collect two teams: Teal Rockets and Pink Lightning. The iconic ball packaging can also transform into two goals.

Colin Bridgford, CEO for Manchester FA, said: “Teaming up with Steph and L.O.L. Surprise! will hopefully inspire a new generation of young girls who wish to follow in the footsteps of Steph Houghton and maybe one day be the future England captain. We are delighted to be working together and are sure the girls will benefit when we begin to distribute the new All Star B.B.s Football range.”

The range is suitable for children aged 6+. To find out more, visit: www.lolsurprise.com.
