Lalaloopsy launches its own Netflix Original Series

lalaloopsy480Lalaloopsy has launched its own Netflix Original Series, We’re Lalaloopsy. Available to stream from 10th January, the animated series features all-new original music that brings to life the popular Lalaloopsy line of dolls. The new season trailer can be viewed here.

The Lalaloopsy dolls were once rag dolls who magically came to life when their very last stitch was sewn, taking on the personalities of the materials that were used to make them.

The 13 double episodes follow the misadventures of six creative friends and their pets as they navigate an extraordinary world. By celebrating the magic of creativity and their individual talents, these friends can weather anything so long as they work together.

The six characters are Jewel Sparkles, Crumbs Sugar Cookie, Spot Splatter Splash, Rosy Bumps ‘N’ Bruises and Dot Starlight, plus new character Storm E. Sky. Sewn from wisps of a rain cloud, Storm E. Sky is a rebel that loves to practice guitar and practice with friends.

With half of Netflix’s 86 million members regularly watching kids content, the announcement marks a big step for the brand, moving into digital entertainment content and helping to immerse consumers even further into the world of Lalaloopsy. The brand will also receive full marketing support including TV advertising, PR and social media.

Marian Davis, MGA Entertainment marketing manager, said: “With the addition of new characters, brand new product ranges and the launch of the Netflix show, 2017 is set to be a really exciting year for Lalaloopsy.”

To accompany the new series, MGA Entertainment is introducing new products based on the six core characters as seen on Netflix, with further products to be released in autumn.
