MD Steve Scott has now revealed that the store shop will be opening in the former Norwich City Football club outlet in Chapelfield. Located on the lower ground floor in the Chapelfield shopping centre, the move comes as the football outlet is relocating.

Steve expects to open the new Langleys location within a fortnight, and said that he plans to keep the existing store operating in its current location. “It’s business as usual in the Royal Arcade shop,” he confirmed. The two shops will operate at the same time for the foreseeable future, while Langleys continues discussions with arcade owners Legal & General, to negotiate rent terms on the current unit.

The new Langleys outlet shop will offer discounted toys, as the business attempts to rival online-only businesses. Commenting on the new business model, Steve said “The footfall is a lot higher in Chapelfield, so I aim to be competitive on price, with regularly-changing special offers providing pricing that would compete favourably with the internet.”

Further details and the confirmed opening date will be announced shortly.
