Last call for the October issue of Toy World

Published on: 1st September 2021

There’s just time to get involved in the upcoming October issue – all the details you need are below.

The October 2021 issue of Toy World is the first of two licensing-focused issues that will highlight the latest properties and licensed ranges.

This year, we are running two special licensing-focused issues – October and November, and work is underway on putting them together.

  • October will focus on licensees and licensed merchandise, primarily showcasing new licensed ranges which will be hitting the market in Q4 ’21 and Q1 ’22.
  • November will concentrate predominantly on licensors, detailing new and existing properties which they want to highlight to retailers and licensees. An extensive BLE preview will also be included in this edition, although we will be happy to cover any licensor’s brands, whether or not they are planning to exhibit at the show, which is taking place from 17th-19th November at ExCel London, followed by an online event from 30th November-1st December.

Although these are the broad guidelines we are working to, we will be more than happy for licensors to have a presence in the October issue, or for licensees to be part of the November edition – whatever makes most sense from a timing point of view.

We will also be running a special feature giving suppliers the opportunity to highlight key new lines that will be hitting shelves for the festive season. The next four months represent the peak selling opportunity for toy retailers, and with the disruption we’ve seen in the supply chain in recent months, it is likely that there will be ad hoc opportunities for toy suppliers with stock availability to take advantage of.

Of course, this issue will also include regular features like Talking Shop, Viewpoint, NPD Insight and Allegedly, as well as a host of exclusive feature interviews and all the latest news from the toy industry.

The editorial deadline for the October edition is the 6th September, while the ad copy date will be 14th September.
