Ian and Anita won the opportunity by entering the ‘Star in the Next Wasgij’ prize draw and recommending a friend to the puzzle brand. Both winners were drawn by artist Graham Thompson who has been illustrating the range for over 15 years. The caricatures of Ian and Anita feature in the 1,000-piece Wasgij Original 20 puzzle set in a traditional fish and chip shop.
The in-pack promotion offered fans the chance to recommend a friend to receive a 54-piece Wasgij mini puzzle, helping to grow the fan base, as well as the chance to enter this special draw to feature in the next Wasgij.
Ian Burt said: “Now that I have actually seen the puzzle I am even more excited. I can’t believe that I’m part of a Wasgij. I’ve been puzzling for 10 years and it is very strange to puzzle myself.”
Anita Spada commented: “I am a huge Wasgij fan and I love that you have to figure out what the person in the image is looking at in order to complete them. I have collected over 40 puzzles, but this one will of course be my favourite.”
Katherine Pierce, marketing manager at Jumbo Games, added: “Wasgij has a very loyal following and it’s great that we can reward two of our fans by offering them the chance to win this unique ‘money can’t buy’ experience. It’s another great new puzzle from Wasgij and an extra special one for Anita and Ian.”
