Executives from Hasbro, Jazwares and Mattel will kick off LIMA’s Licensing University with a keynote session on content creation.

Licensing-Expo-480Sponsored by the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA) and owned and organised by UBM Americas, the leading executives will examine the burgeoning role that content creation is now playing within the toy industry and its implications for the toy, entertainment and licensing businesses.

The keynote session will take place on 21st June, from 8-9am at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The discussion, Toys to Content: Where Do We Go From Here?, will feature Simon Waters, general manager and SVP entertainment and consumer products at Hasbro, Laura Zebersky, chief commercial officer at Jazwares, and Susie Lecker, chief brands officer of the Toy Box division at Mattel.

The keynote panel is part of LIMA’s wide-ranging line-up of Licensing University educational programmes that begin on 20th June with the Digital Media Licensing Summit, and run through to 23rd June. Each session is designed to help attendees acquire new strategies and develop innovative ideas.

“We’re excited about this year’s line-up of Licensing University topics and speakers, highlighted by our keynote panel,” said LIMA’s president, Charles Riotto. “Content creation is an increasingly important part of the business of toys and this prominent line-up of speakers will provide invaluable insight into where the industry is, and where it’s headed.”
