The latest NPD monthly research report, which provides an overview of the UK toy market for the period between January 2012 and October 2012, has revealed that LeapFrog is now the ninth biggest toy manufacturer by value of goods sold.
The company has grown its total market share from 1.1% to 1.5% year on year in a toy market which is down 2% year on year.
LeapFrog has enjoyed growth of 33% year on year by value of goods sold. LeapPad2, which was chosen as one of this year’s ‘Dream Dozen’ toys by the Toy Retailers Association, is now the number one tablet in the market and the number one UK toy by value (UK NPD, YTD week 45, 2012). LeapFrog Explorer software is now number 14 in the total toy market, and sales of LeapFrog’s Tag property grew by 23%.
