According to recently released year-end sales data from The NPD Group, the LeapPad line of learning tablets from LeapFrog was again the number one top-selling children’s tablet brand in the UK in 2013.
LeapPad outsold competitive brands which include learning tablets and Android-based kids’ tablets. LeapFrog’s LeapPad tablets, including LeapPad2, LeapPad2 Power and the newest seven-inch touchscreen tablet LeapPad Ultra, also topped many UK retailers’ top toys lists at Christmas and received numerous accolades and awards in 2013.
Chris Spalding, managing director and SVP for EMEA and Australasia at LeapFrog, said: “We continue to innovate year after year and we’re delighted to see the LeapPad line retain its crown for the third year in a row. LeapPad Ultra is a new kid-tough tablet that features a seven-inch high-resolution screen, a rechargeable battery, front and back cameras and video recorders and 8GB of memory.
LeapPad2 Power has a new tech-forward design and includes a rechargeable battery and AC adapter, front and back cameras and video recorders, 4GB of storage, and LeapFrog’s library of 800+ content experiences.
LeapPad2 offers children engaging learning experiences, front-and-back cameras and video recorders, a LF 2000 processor and 4GB of on-board memory, in a high-tech styled tablet design. LeapPad2 is compatible with a recharger pack, available separately.
