The team’s charitable challenge comprised completing 48 miles along the North Norfolk Coastal Path from Hunstanton to Cromer in just 48 hours. Learning Resources’ Managing Director Dennis Blackmore, who was amongst the team of six determined to complete the trek, commented: “We all knew of the great work that Little Discoverers do and wanted to support it. This was certainly the toughest walk I had ever done, and I’m pretty sure that goes for the rest of the group – but well worth the pain given we succeeded in raising £1,444.69 to date.”
Dennis was joined by his son Nick, as well as Learning Resources’ colleagues Sammy Willetts, Helene Vernis, Liz Roffe and Joanne Stonebanks.
King’s Lynn based Little Discoverers provides a unique and holistic form of early education inspired by methods used at the Peto Institute of Conductive Education in Hungary. Putting parents at the forefront of their child’s learning, specially trained staff work together in groups of up to six children and their parent/carer, to help encourage development through play, songs, art and craft. The group runs three specialist sessions a week at Dutton Pavilion in King’s Lynn, helping children in all areas of their development, as well as supporting their families.
