Legendary Pokemon to be distributed at Smyths

Launching today, the deal will also see an in-store freestanding display unit offering merchandise, plus an in-store character visit.

pokemon480The Pokémon Company International has announced that two Shiny Legendary Pokémon will be distributed throughout all Smyths retail outlets in the UK and Ireland.

From today, Pokémon fans visiting a Smyths store can receive Shiny Xerneas for their Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X or Pokémon Y video game. This promotion will last for one month, and then Shiny Yveltal will be available via distribution from 17th August until 15th September. Codes will be distributed in-store via printed leaflets that can be found at the till, limited to one per customer.

In support of this promotion, Smyths will feature a cross-category FSDU that will offer customers a range of Pokémon products. This display will include the Pokémon TCG: XY—Fates Collide and XY—Steam Siege expansions (upon release); a new Pokémon TCG collection featuring Venusaur; Shiny Kalos Tins featuring shiny TCG cards of Xerneas, Yveltal and Zygarde; Pokémon video games; and, from 10th August, a new feature Pokémon plush from Tomy. Also making its debut appearance in-store will be Poké Ball headphones from OTL. Customers wishing to listen to any device compatible with a 3.5mm jack can also pick up the Pokémon-themed presentation packs containing these stereo headsets.

Finally, Smyths newly opened store in Peterborough will play host to fan-favourite Pokémon Pikachu on 23rd July.
