Racing to the top of the national leader board, the top 14 children were invited to an exclusive event at Chessington World of Adventures to compete to be named the UK Lego Chima champion 2013.

The Lego Chima Challenge saw thousands of children compete using Lego Chima Speedorz that are designed with rip cord functionality to race Chima character minifigures in their vehicles; the contenders raced to build, rip and win their way to the top of the leader board.

After a successful tour, the top 14 children were invited to take part in the final. Defeating new obstacles, the three boys with the highest scores stepped up for the final – the results were:

  • 1st place: Reggie Pegrum, aged nine from Waltham Abbey, Essex
  • 2nd place: Jacob Hooper, aged 15 from Coulsdon, Surrey
  • 3rd place: Danny Leaf, aged 10 from Wendover, Buckinghamshire

Danielle Brazier, Lego UK spokesperson, said: “The event was tense, fun and a testament to the boys’ skill and speed, it was incredible to watch. The whole roadshow was a great success, engaging children in the Chima range and really bringing it to life.”
