Lego Minecraft is the second winner of the award with 2014’s innugural prize given to the
Sorgenfresser Worry Eaters from Schmit, distributed in the UK by Coiledspring Games. More than 400 broadcast, national, consumer and trade journalists have reported from Toy Fair since it opened on Tuesday 20th January.

Angie Tutt, brand director, Lego, said: “We are really proud of Minecraft as it has been built on consumer demand. We asked consumers for their feedback to develop this range and we are delighted to have recognition of that effort with the Editors Choice Toy of the Show Award.”

Nathaniel Southworth, sales and marketing director, Hornby said: “What a fantastic result for the Corgi team and recognition of what an awesome toy it is. Fifty years ago, it was a first ever Toy of the Year and this award recognises that toys developed by passionate people can stand the test of time.”
