The announcement comes ahead of Minions: The Rise of Gru film release in July.
This summer, the Minions are returning to the big screen with the release of Minions: The Rise of Gru. Out on July 10th, the film tells the untold story of Gru, a twelve-year-old with a dream to become the world’s greatest supervillain, who gets a helping hand from his loyal yellow followers, the Minions.
Ahead of the release, The Lego Group announced at New York Toy Fair that this year, fans will soon be able to bring the mischievous world of the Minions home with a new Lego Minions range.
The five new products, available from April 27th, include scenes from the movie, meaning builders of all ages will be able to get inventive in Gru’s Lab as they help construct the underground lair or create their own minion mishaps with the Minion Pilot in Training, a buildable plane loaded with accessories.
The Brick-Built Minions and Their Lair is an 876 piece set that lets Minions fans build Stuart and Kevin. Kevin can then be rebuilt into Bob – making this a three in one build. Kids can then turn the characters around to reveal a room play set inside, complete with accessories, such as tools, hats and weapons.
