Licensed annuals bring success for Little Brother Books

Published on: 13th July 2018

In only its third year of trading, the publisher is experiencing high demand and strong sales of its annuals.

Little Brother Books, which is currently in its third year, continues to go from strength to strength in the kids marketplace. Set up in 2016 as the UK’s only specialist annuals publisher on the market, the company has so far sold over 1m annuals featuring brands such as Pokémon, WWE and more.

The company launched a sticker & activity range this spring/summer which includes branded L.O.L. Surprise!, CBeebies and Shoot products, with the line selling over 200,000 copies so far.

LBB’s speed to market allows the company to react quickly to the latest market trends, evidenced by the fact that in 2017, the year that saw the launch of L.O.L. Surprise!, LBB produced the first licensed product on the market globally for the brand.

The company also boasts the leading retailer distribution in annuals, stating that it can get annuals into over 3,000 more stores in the UK than its competitors. LBB’s comprehensive range of eye-catching POS displays also offers a range of options at retail, from 4 Face CDUs to 9 Face Tray Displays.

Matthew Reynolds, managing director, commented: “We set out to become the first choice in annuals for both licensors and retailers alike and this is a position I believe we now have secured for ourselves. We are passionate about the unique annuals market and what that can deliver for our retailers. We are experiencing another boom year with huge growth; our brands are leading the way at retail and we have opened up even more major new retailers in 2018 such as Aldi, Wilko and The Range. These factors, combined with the success of our sticker & activity range, have resulted in the incredible year we are having and I can’t wait to see how we continue to develop and grow over the years.”
