Puma unveils new collection with Sonic the Hedgehog

Published on: 25th November 2019

The new Capsule Collection launched globally on November 21st, and the full Puma x Sonic collection will launch on 7th February 2020.

Sports company Puma has designed a collection featuring Sega’s video game character Sonic the Hedgehog, bringing the designs and graphics that appear in the game to a new line of footwear and clothing. Sonic has become a family-favourite, after making his debut in 1991. In this collaboration, Sonic’s playfulness is blended with Puma’s sport style design.

Launching this month, the Puma x Sonic Capsule Collection consists of the RS-X³ Sonic sneaker, coloured in Puma Black, featuring a customised footbed, Sonic’s silhouette printed on the mid-sole and a hedgehog logo inside the tongue. Detailed graphics of the golden rings and the game score complete this RS-X³ edition. Right on time for the movie release in February, the Puma x Sonic RS-X3 will drop additionally in two further colourways with a semi-transparent white or black grid look, bright colour pops and gold accents. All RS-X3 Sonic drops will be available as adult and kids’ versions.

The Puma x Sonic Capsule Collection also includes the black Graphic Tee with Puma x Sonic graphics on the front. The black Puma x Sonic Hoodie features the hedgehog print and the caption ‘Who’s Faster?’. The Capsule Collection also consists of the Puma x Sonic Beanie, as well as the versatile shaped Crossbody Bag with semi-detachable strap to wear over both shoulders.

From February onwards, the Puma x Sonic Capsule Collection is supplemented with two Tees – the colourful Puma x Sonic AOP Tee and the Puma x Sonic Hoodie in vibrant blue or black showcasing the caption “You’re too slow” on the sleeve.

The Capsule Collection arrived globally on Puma.com, Puma stores and selected retailers on November 21st. The full Puma x Sonic collection is available on 7th February 2020.
