Silvergate is ready to expand its high-profile roster of partners to explore opportunities around the globe.
International TV production and brand licensing company Silvergate Media is heading into MIP Jnr with its strongest portfolio of children’s IP to-date.
Currently, Silvergate is in production on four brand new properties for top-tier partners including Disney, Nickelodeon and Netflix. The diverse slate includes the animated series Monkey with a Tool Belt launching on Netflix in 2020, and Made by Maddie, commissioned for Nickelodeon in 2020.
Hilda will return for a second series on Netflix in 2020, after its successful debut on Netflix in autumn 2018. Silvergate is inviting expressions of interest from global linear broadcast partners for the first season of Hilda for delivery in 2020.
Octonauts is a top priority for the company heading into MIP Jnr. The franchise currently has two new 70-minute movies set to hit Chinese market in 2020, before the IP will undergo a much-anticipated re-fresh in 2021. The brand new Octonauts will be fully realised in an innovative new spin-off series Octonauts: Above and Beyond.
Silvergate’s Made by Maddie has been commissioned by Nickelodeon and will premiere in autumn 2020. The fashion-first series, set in New York, features the titular character as a breath-of-fresh air heroine who inspires imaginative thinking, resourcefulness and positivity.
Waheed Alli, CEO at Silvergate Media said: “Strong storytelling, high quality animation and original content are at the heart of everything we do here at Silvergate Media. We have one of our strongest creative and development pipelines ever. It’s an extremely exciting time for the company.”
Silvergate rounds out its impressive portfolio with the debuts of three new series. SuperKitties; Super Duper Molly Cooper, currently in development, and Innards short-form series on biology for pre-schoolers, will all be presented for the first time at MIP Jnr.
