Lottie wins first US award

British fashion doll Lottie has won her first US awards at the Creative Child Awards 2012.

The Autumn Leaves Lottie Doll won the Preferred Choice Award in the Kids Toys Category, and the Biscuit the Beagle Accessory Pack won the Seal of Excellence Award, also in the Kids Toys category.

Launched in August 2012 by British toy company Arklu, the Lottie range includes six dolls and three accessories sets.

The seven-inch Lottie fashion doll has been designed to be ‘childlike’. Aged nine, her dimensions are based upon ideals devised by health and nutrition experts from the British Nutrition Foundation and London Metropolitan University.

Celebrity fans include BBC Radio 4 and TV presenter Kirsty Young who says: “We like Lottie a lot. In the words of my six-year-old daughter (completely unprompted), ‘Mummy…she’s nice…she looks like a real person.’.”
