MadeForMums Toy Awards 2017 winners announced

Robots and classic toys updated for the digital age dominate the winners’ list.

MadeForMums has announced the winners of its Toy Awards 2017, as chosen by a panel of judges and over 250 children – ranging in age from 12 weeks to 12 years.

The MadeForMums Toy awards celebrate the best children’s toys at every age and stage from newborn to preteens – with 36 winners in all.

The Toy Awards are decided by a combination of the child judges’ scores based on each toy’s play potential, combined with the verdicts of judges from the MadeForMums editorial team and influencer judges, including: comedians and authors Scummy Mummies, parenting blogger Guilty Mother, and parent-led campaign group Let Toys Be Toys.

Best Toddler Toy: Vtech Chase Me Casey
Best Tech Toy: Tomy Lightseekers
Best Soft Toy: Posh Paws International Winnie the Pooh Snuggletime
Best Scooter: Ozbozz Light Burst Scooter
Best Robot Toy: Anki Cozmo
Best Ride-on: Little Tikes Princess Horse & Carriage
Best Playset: Vtech Toot-Toot Drivers Fire Station
Best Construction Toy: K’nex Thrill Rides Web Weaver Rollercoaster
Best Bath Toy: Tomy Spin & Splash Jelly Fish
Best Baby Toy (6-12 months): Fisher-Price Zoom n Crawl Monster
Best Art/Craft Toy: Little Brian Paint Sticks
