The company has appointed Doug Wares as its new sales agent for Scotland.

Doug-Wares-480Doug has worked in the toy industry since 1988, and is well-respected north of the border, having represented many brands including Humbrol, Matchbox/Universal Toys and Bandai.

He commented: “Magformers is clearly one of the fastest-growing toy brands in the UK and I’m delighted to be joining the business to help it establish a foothold in Scotland. It’s a fantastic product with a very strong marketing and promotional campaign in place to support retailers and I believe it has enormous potential – which recent feedback from the Toymaster show is already demonstrating.”

Having teamed up with Magformers at the Toymaster show, Doug was instrumental in immediately opening several Scottish accounts and contributing to significant growth for the brand. Magformers has recently revealed that its sales to Toymaster members in 2016 has increased 657% compared to 2015.

UK managing director, David Kelly, added: “We know there’s great scope for Magformers to develop in Scotland and having Doug on board, with his contacts and experience within the industry, is great news for us. Doug is one of the most well-respected agents in the toy industry and he is a great addition to our sales team.”

Scottish retailers can contact Doug on 07807 925 818.
