Argos’ Matt Stent to run London Marathon in aid of NSPCC

Published on: 20th February 2019

The Argos buying manager, Infant Toys And Nursery, will be running the 26.2 mile race in April to raise funds for the charity.

Matt commented: “I am fortunate to be running the 2019 marathon for the NSPCC again, and hope readers can support me to raise even more this year-  and encourage me to achieve a much better time.”

“The NSPCC is a truly amazing charity epitomised by the ethos ‘Every childhood is worth fighting for’,” Matt added. “£3 could pay for the NSPCC Speak Out Stay Safe programme to reach one primary school child, giving them the knowledge to protect themselves from abuse. It costs £4 for a trained volunteer counselor to answer a child’s call to Childline, while £25 could pay for toys which children use during therapeutic sessions to explain how they’re feeling.”
