Meccano challenges Beavers and Cubs to be creative

According to The Scout Association, almost 60,000 Beavers and Cubs across England have taken up Meccano’s Creative Challenge since it was launched at the start of the year.

Meccano’s Creative Challenge resource packs have gone down a storm, with 1,600 Cub groups and 1,500 Beaver groups downloading the activity booklets. So far, 29,500 Cubs and 27,500 Beavers have used the Meccano resource since its launch in November 2011.

Nikki Mason, head of corporate partnerships at The Scout Association, said: “We are delighted by the enthusiasm for the Meccano Creative Challenge. Working together in groups and learning through doing is a key part of the Scout experience for our young people. This challenge allows our young people to develop their creative thinking skills and learn about British landmarks, while having fun with their friends.
