Mega Bloks campaign goes on the road

Published on: 2nd July 2012

As part of this year’s Mega Bloks First Builders launch strategy, Mega Bloks is taking over London taxis in a year-long advertising campaign.

The Mega Bloks Spot the Block campaign will see London taxis being taken over and branded with the new First Builders block design. Ten taxis will display the large Mega Bloks First Builders blocks in bright and eye-catching primary colours.

Mega Bloks will support the campaign with the Spot the Block Facebook page, which will host monthly competitions. Advertising will be displayed on the taxi tip up seats and side car panels.

Children and families will be encouraged to take photos of themselves with the Mega Bloks taxis at famous London landmarks, including Olympic venues. Uploading these photos to the Facebook page will enter them into the competition for a chance to win prizes.

Pete Fuller, marketing manager Mega Bloks UK, comments: “We’re really excited to be launching this campaign, particularly as there is so much buzz in London and the UK at the moment with so many high-profile events happening in 2012. Not only will it increase our brand awareness and directly target families but it also ties in perfectly with the launch of our new Mega Bloks First Builders range.”
