‘Bloktober’ features retailers such as Asda, Argos, Tesco, Toys R Us, Smyths, The Entertainer, Amazon, and Shop Direct, all offering exclusive savings on First Builders products for the limited period of October only.
Print and digital activity to support the month-long campaign includes retailer display adverts, website takeovers, online banners, Facebook and Twitter posts, e-shots and e-newsletters. In support, Mega Brands is also rolling out an online advertising plan that includes more than 30 targeted parenting websites, as well as activity with Bounty, and Ask a Mum.
Pete Fuller, european marketing manager for Mega Brands, commented: “The idea behind Bloktober is to offer mums and dads exclusive savings on Mega Bloks First Builders products, while driving home the importance of building and construction for pre-schoolers aged 12 months and up. Branding the month of October is something that we will do year on year if this campaign proves to be a success.”
