Miko announces Disney and Pixar collaboration

Published on: 23rd August 2022

Miko now features a Disney and Pixar collaboration, which is an historic first for the consumer robotics space.

Miko, a consumer robotics company specialising in kids education and entertainment, has unveiled its Disney collaboration to customers in more than 140 countries. The latest edition of Miko will include animated storybooks featuring characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios‘ Moana, Frozen, The Lion King, Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story, Big Hero 6, and Coco, adding to its fast-growing kids content platform. The company says this collaboration indicates that AI will play a growing role in the future of kids entertainment.

“Bringing the imaginative worlds of Disney and Pixar to our platform represents a big step in kids robotics,” said Sneh Vaswani, Miko co-founder and CEO. “Miko is thrilled to be the first robotics platform to have such an innovative collaboration with Disney, and we look forward to raising the benchmark for kids engagement together.”

After being selected as the only Asia based start-up participant in Disney Accelerator, a programme that connects technology companies with the expertise and resources of The Walt Disney Company, Miko has become the first company to host an official Disney app on a kids robot platform. The new additions to Miko’s content library include audiobooks and read-along stories with animated visuals. Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia, Tangled and Disney and Pixar’s Ratatouille stories have also been added to the line-up of Disney content available for the Miko 3 robot.

“The Disney app will continue to evolve with more experiences and interactivity,” added Sneh Vaswani. Families can access select Disney stories for free or subscribe to Miko Max for full access to content from Disney, Paramount, Kidoodle.TV, Da Vinci Kids, Cosmic Kids and other brands.

Miko takes learning and fun to a new level with state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and robotics, providing playful learning experiences for children aged 5 to 10.
