Tara Adams will be one of five people rowing the North Atlantic Ocean – a massive 3,500 nautical miles from Lagos, Portugal, to Georgetown, Guyana, while aiming to raise £240,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The crew will be alone at sea for 70 days, rowing in two-hour shifts around-the-clock until they reach land in South America. They are aiming to beat many different Guinness World records including the fastest team to row from mainland Europe to mainland South America and the first mixed crew to do so.
Tara will be the youngest female to have rowed this stretch of sea.
Macmillan Cancer Support is a charity that is close to Tara’s heart so it’s made this challenge even more important for her. To make a donation, click here.
