Moose enters NPD Top 10 for first time

Published on: 17th November 2022

With strong sales of Magic Mixies Cauldron and Little Live Pets Mama Surprise, Moose also took three top spots in the 2022 DreamToys list.

Moose Toys is continuing its phenomenal growth in the UK, for the first time entering the Top Ten Toy Manufacturers according to NPD. Currently ranked at No.9 YTD and No.8 in October, the Australian based manufacturer is boasting sales growth well above industry average of +74% YoY.

Leading into the festive season, global sensation Magic Mixies Cauldron and the award winning Little Live Pets Mama Surprise have been the clear stand out products sitting at No.3 and No.15 in the Total Items respectively, according to NPD’s October data.

“These results show that our businesses commitment to innovation and doing things differently is paying off,” said Paul Solomon, co-owner, Moose Toys. “We backed ourselves four years ago when we decided to go direct to retail in the UK, and due to the hard work and commitment of our team, we are now seeing some amazing results. Not only have our products been recognized by both consumers and our peers, Moose itself has been named a Great Place to Work, and been listed as a Great Place to Work for Women and Wellbeing, an achievement of which we are immensely proud.”

In an industry first, last week, Moose secured three spots in the highly anticipated UK Toy Retailers Association’s DreamToys List. The list, which is selected by an independent panel of retailers and toy experts from The Toy Retailers Association, is widely known as the best predictor of what items will be the most sought after through peak holiday season. Of the twelve toys selected through a rigorous process, an incredible 25% were from Moose including:
• Little Live Pets Mama Surprise
• Magic Mixies Mixlings Castle Playset
• Heroes of Goo JitZu Shifters Hero Pack (in partnership with Character Options)

“Having three toys recognised on the 2022 DreamToys list is testament the entire Moose team and its commitment to creating best in class products,” added Paul. “We have a goal to be the most innovative toy company in the world and accolades such as this show that we are well on the way to making it happen. We’re incredibly grateful to receive this recognition from our peers and we can’t wait to see these toys in the hands of children spreading happiness all over the UK this Christmas and beyond.”
