Set in an allotment run by the green-fingered Mr Bloom, Mr Bloom’s Nursery combines live action with puppetry to introduce children to the experience of nurturing plants. The property also features on the CBeebies website in a dedicated section that features games, activities and songs. Mr Bloom further cements his popularity with recent appearances in other channel staples such as Swashbuckle and the CBeebies’ Easter Special ‘Mr Bloom and the Three Little Pigs’, and Mr Bloom: Here and There, a series with the emphasis on community and respect for the environment.
TCV was founded in 1959 and helps hundreds of thousands of people each year to care for their environment by reclaiming their local outdoor places whilst benefiting their health and communities. The new licensing agreement will see TCV develop a range of Mr Bloom products, including ‘grow your own’ kits, toddler tools, buckets, watering cans, bird boxes and bug boxes. The range will be revealed at Glee 2014, a UK garden trade buying event in September.
The new deal adds to existing agreements with Little Babas for dress-up, Portico for greetings and calendars and Random House for publishing. Mr Bloom also appears in Immediate Media’s CBeebies magazine.
