Music For Kids launches first app

Published on: 8th January 2013

Interactive publisher P2 Games has unveiled its brand new app, The Wheels on the Bus.

Based on the Music for Kids boxed toy product Jingle Puzzles, the new app is compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch, and is now available to download from the App Store.

The Wheels on the Bus app is an entertaining and light introduction to music for children aged two to six, and the first in range of five to be released.

Featuring colourful animation, straightforward touch-screen control, and helpful audio prompts, the app can be used with or without parental assistance.

Including a selection of classic nursery rhymes, the app features engaging interactive content and offers a simple way for young children to learn to play music.

Kids can practice playing The Wheels on the Bus on the keyboard, experiment with notes and musical sounds, record their own music, complete a variety of musical jigsaw puzzles, get creative with colouring activities, and complete their own animated sticker sound board.

The new app provides young players the chance to build essential early learning skills such as observation, concentration and problem-solving through these creative, fun and musically-themed interactive games.

Creator of Jingle Puzzles and children’s music specialist, John Bassett, commented: “We are delighted that our popular Jingle Puzzles product is being launched as a series of apps. Our boxed toy product has been a hit with families at home and now this brand new app will enable children to enjoy the basics of music and creative play in a new digital and accessible format. A wonderfully high-quality app, The Wheels on the Bus will encourage children to learn to play music and give them an instant sense of achievement when each activity is completed.”
