My Little Pony and Nerf to provide live experiences for fans

As My Little Pony prepares to hit the stage, Hasbro has also announced an extended licensing agreement with Kingsmen which will bring its Nerf attractions to the USA.

Hasbro has announced a deal with Mills Entertainment, a leading producer and promoter of branded live entertainment, to launch My Little Pony Live. In its first original touring production in North America, the all-new musical will feature ‘the Mane Six’ — Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack and Rainbow Dash.

Also included in the lineup is Spike the Dragon, the seventh main character from the successful My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic television series, which is currently airing its ninth season.

Set to launch March 2020, full tour dates and details will be announced in August. Debuting an original story and new songs, the musical will take audiences on an unforgettable journey to Equestria, with exciting new adventures, unexpected magic,  humour and heartwarming moments.

“We’re thrilled to work with Mills Entertainment to bring My Little Pony and the magic of friendship to life in a whole new way,” said Samantha Lomow, president, Hasbro Entertainment Brands. “Mills Entertainment has produced some of the most exciting stage shows with a variety of brands, and we can’t wait for fans to experience My Little Pony Live.”

Hasbro has also expanded its licensing deal with Kingsmen Xperience, and is set to open Nerf family entertainment centres (FECs) in the United States market. Expanding the licensing deal for Nerf FEC attractions into the US market allows Kingsmen to increase the global reach of the attraction, which has garnered significant international interest. The world’s first Nerf FEC will open in Singapore in 2019, with the first US location to open in late 2020.

“When we first announced that Kingsmen was bringing the Nerf experience to Singapore, we heard from fans around the globe that they were excited about the possibility of more locations around the world,” said Casey Collins, SVP & GM Consumer Products, Hasbro. “The work Kingsmen has done with the upcoming opening of the Nerf Action Xperience in Singapore is outstanding, and we cannot wait for fans and families from all over the US to have their own experience in their back yard.”
