Range of licensed products to include jigsaws, lunchware, nightware and stationery.
BBC Worldwide has announced new partnerships for BAFTA and International Emmy Award-winning children’s animation Hey Duggee. A deal with Roy Lowe will see the launch of a range of socks and new partner DNC will be creating lunchware and dineware.
Hey Duggee will also be welcoming a new app, made by partner Scary Beasties. Hey Duggee Jigsaws will be available mid-May, and features a collection of beautifully designed jigsaws to entertain little ones during the holidays.
Hey Duggee is a series that unleashes a child’s imagination and sense of fun as they explore their world. Each episode starts with Duggee welcoming the squirrels as they are dropped off at the Squirrel Club by their carers. This marks the start of laughter and learning as they discover new things about the world around them, all under the patient guidance of Duggee.
Anita Majhu, licensing manager, BBC Worldwide, commented: “We’re thrilled to sign more partners for our wonderful Duggee brand, and I know that both DNC and Roy Lowe will make fantastic products that our fans will love.”
In the UK, the brand has signed multiple license partnerships including master toy partner Golden Bear, Penguin Random House publishing under the Ladybird brand, Immediate Media for magazines as well as Aykroyd and TDP for nightwear, underwear and swimwear, Blues Clothing for daywear and Blue Sky Designs for art, stationery and activity products. Partners in the US include Jazwares as master toy, and, in Australia, Jasnor is the distributor for both toy and melamine.
