New independent toy shop for Tunbridge Wells

Whirligig, which opened on 11th September, offers unusual and unique gifts for all ages.

Whirligig-480The independent retailer will encourage children to get proactive, with creative products which involve them in projects and many things to make and do.

Peter Allinson, founder of Whirligig, said: “We hate things that you take out of the box and end up in the bin minutes later. Getting children making things creates great memories for the future. Whirligig focuses attention on older children. Many toy shops seem to stop at four-year-olds, but older children, including big children and adults, also need toys that will stimulate them.”

Whirligig also has successful branches in Brighton and Chichester.

Peter added: “Tunbridge Wells is great. It is full of really creative people who understand what we are trying to do.”
