New partnership announced for Paddington with Rockefeller Productions

Published on: 3rd June 2019

Copyrights Group and Rockefeller Productions will bring Paddington to the stage in a new show, launching 2020.

Targeted at a pre-school audience, the show will feature Paddington on stage in puppet form for the first time. The show will launch in the US and Canada from 2020 and will be created by Jonathan Rockefeller, Rockefeller Productions.

“The Paddington books were a staple of my childhood. The antics of the kind-hearted and accident prone bear have always made me, and so many others, smile. I am thrilled to bring this celebrated bear to the stage in a way that audiences have never experienced him before,” said Jonathan Rockefeller.

Polly Emery, SVP brand and international licensing, Copyrights Group, added: “Paddington has been entertaining audiences for over 60 years across both books and movies, and he will be appearing soon in a new animated TV series. We are excited to be working with Rockefeller Productions to bring Paddington to the stage and to enable young kids and their families to enter into Paddington’s world and engage with him in real life.”
