New roles added to Toy World’s recruitment section

Oops Global SA, The Wonderful Ideas Project, Moose Toys and Gibsons are the latest companies advertising to fill vacancies through Toy World’s popular recruitment section.

Gibsons is seeking a hands-on National Account Manager to deal with national accounts for B2B customers including John Lewis, Waterstones, WHSmith, Amazon Vendor and Waitrose to win new listings and meet UK sales targets, KPIs and P&L responsibilities.The role will include identifying and exploiting commercial opportunities; working closely with Business Development Manager to open new FMCG and key accounts, and analysing data and market trends to build a strategic sales plan for the UK and accountable for setting sales budgets.

The new employee will work hybrid, two days in the Sutton, Surrey office. The candidate will have a proven track record of National Account Management experience preferably within the Toy or Gift industry as well as experience presenting and selling to key buyers.

Moose Toys is looking for a Brand Manager to manage the development and implementation of the brand and trade strategies for all allocated Moose brands and licensed products. They will manage the development and implementation of our UK brand and trade strategies for all allocated Moose brands and licensed products. This will include promotional and marketing programmes, overall product and brand life cycle management and management of key agency relationships.

The company is based in Cornwall and there is a hybrid work-from-home policy. Candidates must have a degree or comparable level qualification in marketing, business or similar and experience in building brand plans. Wonderful is also looking for a Brand Manager for its client which is the home of Classic Characters and is one of the country’s leading character toy companies. It is the trusted name behind an abundance of high-profile and prestigious brand collections including Peter Rabbit, Paddington Bear and Disney Classics such as Winnie-the-Pooh.

The chosen candidate will be fully responsible for the development of the company’s valuable brands and work very closely with the Sales and Marketing director and the Sales team. You will work 3-4 days a week in the London office, 2 days per month in the south coast office and ability to be mobile if required to visit licensors, customers and events.

The agents will be responsible for representing the Plus-Plus brand across the independent toy and gifts trade within the Midlands, North Wales and Northern territories of the UK, and the territory of Scotland is also available. 5-10 years’ experience of working within the independent and gift channels within the specified territory is expected, and experience of dealing with the industry’s key toy and gift buying groups.
  • AZ Toys & AZ Books International has been providing educational books, e-applications and toys for 0-8 years old in more than 50 countries all over the world for more than 25 years. The company is on the hunt for a Consulting Editor who will bring their talent and experience from the UK educational toys and books industry to the multinational team to help to develop lines for the UK and other English-speaking countries. The ideal candidate will have English as a first language, and this freelance role and may involve remote working.
  • SES Creative, a Dutch company that designs and manufactures arts & crafts, outdoor, nursery and STEM products, is seeking to appoint a UK Sales Agent. The successful candidate will  support and develop independent retailers across the UK.
