New Scrabble record in celebration of National Scrabble Day

Craig Beevers, Scrabble world champion, and other competitors have achieved a new record for the most consecutive games played in 24 hours to celebrate National Scrabble Day.

He won an impressive 29 out of 30 games, losing only in the final round to player Jess Matthews from Canada,ScrabbleWordpress during the 24 hour marathon this week in association with Mattel and Mind Sports International.

Craig Beevers said: “I’m really proud to have accomplished the record and to have played such an instrumental role during the challenge. We are very grateful to all players who took part.”
