New season of Fireman Sam launches on Cartoonito

Season nine of Fireman Sam launches on Cartoonito on Saturday 5th April at 8am (GMT), featuring new storylines in the town of Pontypandy.Fireman-Sam300

In the new series, the town of Pontypandy has expanded to include new buildings with the opening of the Ocean Rescue Centre and more characters including Ben Hooper the coastguard and Joe Sparkes the mechanic who has moved to Pontypandy with his wife and daughter, Lizzie and Hannah Sparkes.

Sean Gorman, director of Kids’ Channels UK at Turner Broadcasting, said: “Fireman Sam has been a tremendous success story for Cartoonito, consistently driving our ratings and ranking number one on the channel since launch back in 2008. Furthermore, the show’s popularity continues to grow today, driving values of friendship and teamwork in a fun and entertaining way. We are absolutely thrilled to be launching the ninth season on Cartoonito this April. Audiences can look forward to seeing some fresh new faces in Pontypandy along with familiar favourites.”

Season nine of Fireman Sam launches on Cartoonito on Saturday, 5th April at 8am (GMT) and rolls out every Saturday.
