BTHA reveals Ask the Media video for Toy Fair 2019

Published on: 17th October 2018

The video features a Q&A with a leading newspaper, broadcaster and blogger.

The video, produced annually by the BTHA, provides information and advice on all the PR opportunities offered to exhibitors at Toy Fair. Ask the Media also features the infamous Q&A interviews, where media from the UK’s leading newspapers, broadcasters and blogs reveal their top tips and expectations for Toy Fair 2019.

This year, the video features interviews with Zoe Kleinman, broadcast journalist and presenter at BBC News, Kate Carter, freelance consumer journalist, and Helen Neale, owner of KiddyCharts, one of the UK’s most influential parenting blogs. Zoe has reported on technology and business across the BBC for 10 years, while Kate was previously Life & Style Editor at The Guardian. As well as managing KiddyCharts, Helen is a digital marketer for Channel Mum.

In the interviews, they reveal how and when exhibitors should pitch them for Toy Fair, as well as what makes a toy stand out at the show. The video also includes advice for how to support content creators as well as traditional press on the show floor.

Rebecca Deeming, public relations manager at the BTHA, presents this year’s Ask the Media video. As well as introducing the interviews, Rebecca covers the key deadlines and opportunities coming up imminently for Toy Fair exhibitors.

Rebecca commented: “The Ask the Media video is all about helping exhibitors make a splash at Toy Fair. Thanks so much to Zoe, Kate, and Helen for letting us take a sneak peek into the world of the media. The fantastic insights they share in this video will help any exhibitor, no matter their size, to make the most of their presence at Toy Fair.”

Toy Fair takes place at Olympia, London from 22-24th January 2019. To register for a free pass to the show, visit www.toyfair.co.uk.
