Craft Buddy to supply the Zoological Society of London

Published on: 8th April 2019

A range of Crystal Art products will be stocked in London and Whipsnade zoos’ award winning gift shops.

The craft and hobby designer, manufacturer and distributor Craft Buddy has announced that it will be supplying the international conservation charity the Zoological Society of London’s two Zoos – London Zoo and Whipsnade Zoo – with its innovative Crystal Art brand.

The new supplier agreement also includes a programme of in-store demo days, so that shop visitors can interact with Crystal Art products and understand how they work.

This move is another positive step for Craft Buddy as its Crystal Art brand gathers momentum and consumer reach. In the last 12 months the company has expanded its footprint from hobby stores to toy and leisure outlets, and concluded a nationwide TV home-shopping deal reaching vast audiences outside of the typical crafting enthusiast. Both zoos boast award-winning gift shops, having each won Best Museum/Visitor Attraction Gift Shop and ‘The Greats’ Gift Retailer Awards.

Craft Buddy co-founder, Gary Wadhwani, commented: “We’ve been working hard to build a range of products that will work in a variety of different retail environments. To have such an exclusive and award-winning flagship outlet such as ZSL on board listing our Crystal Art range, and for it to be performing so well, is a great achievement for all the team and our artists. We listen closely to consumer insight and market trends when designing our range, which is paying off  – we can offer the right products to the right outlets, so it’s a win for everyone.”

The ZSL range includes a large range of wildlife designs in a variety of sizes, from the small Crystal Art stickers SRP £3 to the large framed Crystal Art canvases SRP £50.
