The champion of the UK Games Expo Rummikub Tournament was crowned at the NEC Birmingham on Saturday 1st June.

Craig White, 43, from Hertfordshire, saw off tough competition to claim the winning title as the master of tiles, as well as taking home a £250 cash prize and a bundle of Ideal games from John Adams, the UK distributor of Rummikub.

Craig, who has been competing in Rummikub Tournaments for five years, said: “I’m really excited to have won. Having finished in fourth place on the last two occasions, it is great to finally get over the finish line. One of the great things about this event is the friendships you make on the day and carry on throughout the year. I now have some great friends because of this fantastic event.”

The UK Games Expo Rummikub Tournament saw opponents compete in rounds of the family-favourite game.

Lynette Norris, marketing manager of John Adams, which organised the event, said: “We’re always happy to support Rummikub tournaments and community events, as these are so popular with our ‘Rummikubers’. There’s a great atmosphere and camaraderie amongst the players and it was great to see Craig get the win after entering our last two UK Rummikub Championships.”
