It’s a special year for Gibsons, which has been trading as a British family business for 100 years.
To mark its official birthday on Wednesday 15th May, Gibsons is offering puzzlers 15% off any Gibsons jigsaw.
Company founder, Harry Percy Gibson, launched H P Gibson & Sons Ltd in 1919. The company made its name with the HPG brand of indoor games such as L’Attaque and Dover Patrol, which were best-sellers before and after the Second World War. To mark the centenary, Gibsons has re-released a special version of L’Attaque, which has been carefully recreated to mimic the 1940s version of the game.
Gibsons launched jigsaw puzzles in the 1980s and the business has grown ever since. The company entered its fourth generation in 2016, when its founder’s great-granddaughters, Kate Gibson and Nicki Gumbrell, stepped up to become Gibsons’ managing director and sales director and the company’s first female leaders. Based on rate of sale, Gibsons is the UK’s best performing manufacturer in adult puzzles and produces the thickest 1000 piece jigsaws on the UK market.

Shoppers who have at least two Gibsons jigsaws in their basket can enter GIBSONS100 at checkout to receive 15% off.
In addition to the flash sale, the Gibsons team has hidden 100 Lucky Tickets inside its puzzle boxes to celebrate the centenary. If a lucky ticket is found, the recipient will be rewarded with a free 1000 piece puzzle of their choice. Plus, there is one extra special ticket available which rewards the recipient with a year’s supply of jigsaw puzzles.
