Hatchimals Wow enjoys TV hat trick

Published on: 6th December 2019

Spin Master’s October launch Hatchimals has made a major impression on TV this past week.

Hatchimals Wow featured on last Friday’s The Late Late Toy Show, Phillip Schofield’s How to Spend it Well at Christmas and also ITV’s This Morning. Alongside positive comments and footage that showed off the toy’s fun features, the appearances also showed that Wow is the first Hatchimal that can be hatched again and again.

Once hatched, the interactive Hatchimals Wow grows to a height of 32″ and combines two of the toy industry’s most popular creatures – a llama and a unicorn.

The Late Late Toy Show awarded the toy over three minutes of airtime on Friday evening. Hatchimals Wow then had a starring role with Phil Schofield on the Christmas gift show How to Spend it Well at Christmas on Tuesday evening, where the presenter got up close and personal with both Hatchimals Wow and a real llama. Finally, the endearing new Hatchimal captured Holly Willoughby’s attention throughout the Christmas gift guide feature on Wednesday’s This Morning programme this week.

Speaking about the TV appearances, senior brand manager Ranjit Dhutti commented: “We were very excited that Hatchimals Wow was featured on these three flagship TV shows. Both features are testimony to the fun appeal and strong play value that Hatchimals Wow offers. We are delighted to see it receive this recognition, and for our retailers to enjoy the benefit that these highly positive PR opportunities deliver.”

On How to Spend it Well, Hatchimals Wow was not the only Spin Master item featured. Owleez, Juno, Upriser Ducati and Monster Jam Mega Grave Digger also had a lot of airtime and positive comments from Phillip and the guest presenters. Mega Grave Digger stole the RC segment, being voted best RC Vehicle for Christmas.
