Emma Pilgrim is running a 10k race each month in 2018, while John Jo Cassidy is running the London Marathon.
HTI had a successful 2017, raising an impressive amount of money for charity. The ladies got dirty for the Pretty Muddy Race for life, raising £1000 for Cancer Research UK, whilst the men grew their facial hair, enabling them to donate £900 to the Movember Foundation.
This year, two HTI team members are slipping on their running shoes for charity. Emma Pilgrim has set herself the challenge of running a 10K race every month of the year, raising money for the charity Mind and its efforts towards improving mental health. Throughout the year, Emma will be covering over 74 miles in total.
Having previously run the Liverpool half marathon for the charity Kids Out, John Jo Cassidy was approached by Kids Out to continue fundraising for its cause. On 22nd April John Jo is going to run the London Marathon to help raise as much money as possible for the charity, which helps disadvantaged children throughout the country. John Jo’s dedicated work schedule has left him little spare time for exercise; however, he has committed himself to a strict training and exercise regime over the past six months, ensuring he’s in excellent shape for the big day.
