The team is raising much-needed funds for the MTV Staying Alive Foundation, which is celebrating its 20th year.

The UK National 5 Peaks Challenge is one of the toughest events that can be undertaken in the UK & Ireland, and involves climbing the five highest mountains in Wales, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland & The Republic of Ireland. The challenge covers a total of 64kms and involves ascending over 5,300 metres in less than 72 hours.

Speaking about the challenge, Mark commented: “Any contribution would be amazing, and would help raise essential funds for a great cause. Many thanks in advance any support that can be offered, and yes – I am a good +10 years older than the next oldest member of the team attempting this challenge!”
