The new series, which features 16 new Moshi Monsters collectable characters, went on sale on 11th January, supported by a TV, PR and social media support campaign.
“These results are beyond our wildest expectations,” said Neil Bandtock, Vivid UK managing director. “With Moshi tracking well over 50% up year on year through the Christmas period and finishing the year as the number one property in the market, we always expected a strong result on Series 5 and these results bode well for the brand and our retailers in the coming months.”
The next launch milestone for Vivid’s Moshi Monsters is the Micro Moshi range, which launches February half term, followed by Series 6 Moshi Collectables at Easter. As a result, Vivid is confident that Moshi Monsters will show strong double digit growth year on year for 2013.
