Playmobil to attend CarFest North and South 2019

Published on: 26th July 2019

CarFest is the brainchild of radio presenter Chris Evans, and was launched seven years ago to raise funds for UK children’s charities.

Playmobil has confirmed its attendance at both 2019 CarFest events. The festival will welcome more than 100,000 visitors over two weekends: 26th-28th July (North) at Bolesworth, Cheshire and 23rd-25th August (South) at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire.

Across both weekends, Playmobil will showcase costume characters, life-size figures and play tables featuring the brand-new Playmobil: The Movie play sets. Attendance at the festival is part of Playmobil’s ongoing strategy to engage directly with key audiences and provides the brand opportunity to share more about the movie.

CarFest is the brainchild of radio presenter Chris Evans, and was launched seven years ago to raise funds for UK children’s charities. To date the festival has raised more than £13.5m.

Jamie Dickinson, marketing and display manager at Playmobil UK, commented: “This is our first year attending CarFest and, with Playmobil: The Movie coming out around the same time, there will be a lot of excitement surrounding the brand. The festival will provide opportunity for fans to meet the characters and experience the new play sets first-hand, as well as keep families entertained over the weekend.”

He added: “Playmobil is experiencing significant growth and we are expanding our wider entertainment offer to support retailers in reaching new audiences. We love taking the chance to share all the amazing things we’re doing and CarFest will allow us to do just that.”

The Playmobil: The Movie range includes nine sets based on the film: Rex Dasher with Parachute, Robotitron with Drone, Marla with Horse, Charlie with Prison Wagon, Marla and Del with Flying Horse, Del’s Food Truck, Emperor Maximus in the Colosseum, Marla in the Fairytale Castle, and Rex Dasher’s Porsche Mission E.
