Rainbow announces advertising campaign for Paddington Movie range

Published on: October 5th, 2017

Big and small screen advertising will support new Paddington Movie range of feature plush toys.

As the UK awaits the anticipated release of the new Paddington 2 movie, set to premiere in cinemas on 10th November 2017, exclusive adverts for Rainbow Design’s new Paddington Movie range are also scheduled for a TV campaign throughout autumn.

The advert, which launched in September, will receive a further two weeks of air time covering the October half term. Starring two of the new 2017 feature plush lines, Dancing Paddington and Cycling Paddington, along with a range favourite, My Name is Paddington, the campaign features both 10 and 20-second adverts and covers popular channels such as Disney Junior, Milkshake, Nick Jr, and Tiny Pop. The campaign will generate 500+ TVRs.

In addition to the TV campaign, a comprehensive cinema advertising campaign is also in place. A 30-second commercial will appear on Pearl & Dean cinema screens for four weeks, week commencing 30th October, and span the premiere of the film. The cinema advert will air in the lead up to films including Paddington 2, My Little Pony, The Little Vampire, and The Lego Ninjago Movie, reaching an estimated audience of 1.3m.

Suzie Howes, head of licensing and marketing at the Home of Classic Characters, commented: “This is the first time Rainbow has put such a TV campaign in place but the timing and audience is perfect, and with such a fantastic product range we wanted to ensure it was supported it in the marketplace in the best way possible.”
