The Entertainer’s Big Toy Rehoming campaign hailed a success

Over the three days some 5,600 toys were donated by generous kids and families.

The Entertainer recently partnered with The Salvation Army to launch the Big Toy Rehoming campaign, which aimed to reduce plastic waste by prolonging the life of toys, while building on the retailer’s commitment to ensure every child has the opportunity to play.

The campaign ran between World Environment Day, which took place last Wednesday, through to Saturday, and saw all The Entertainer shops act as a drop off point for toys. These were then distributed in the Salvation Army’s network.

The Entertainer received a huge 5,600 toy donations over the three days, and as a result is looking to roll out this activity in partnership with the charity again later this year.

Kirk Bradley, head of corporate partnerships from The Salvation Army, said: “We’re delighted with the success of the appeal and overwhelmed by the response and generosity of the public. This partnership has been a real success and we thank both The Entertainer and the general public for helping to making a real difference and helping vulnerable people within the UK.”
