Students will be tasked to create a commercial identity and innovative packaging design for an up-and-coming new Tomy Farm range to be unveiled at Nuremberg Toy Fair 2014.
The project launched on 28th October and will run for four weeks with 80 second year Product Design university students taking part. At the end of November, a winning design will be chosen and put into production ready to hit stores in late 2014.
In addition to having their design unveiled at the Nuremberg Toy Fair, the winner will be invited to spend a VIP day at Tomy HQ in London where they will get a sneak peek of the new toy range featuring their packaging design and will also visit the various different departments relevant to their degree to increase their knowledge and understanding.
Emilia Lawes, sales and marketing of Tomy Agriculture, said: “After the success of the Tomy Design Challenge earlier this year, we wanted to take the concept a step further and partnering with a modern university with a strong design programme – like Nottingham Trent – was an obvious choice. We’re really looking forward to seeing fresh ideas from the students.”
