Whacky Shots craze toy hits UK stores

Published on: 14th March 2018

Launched at this Year’s London Toy Fair by Brainstorm, Whacky Shots World Warriors have now arrived in the UK.

Whacky Shots will have marketing support and TV advertising planned from Easter onwards.

Set to be one of the craze toys of 2018, Whacky Shots World Warriors is available in several SKUs, including blind pack assortments and playsets. Spanning multiple toy categories, Whacky Shots is essentially an action toy with a trading card game element, making it a collectible. 60 characters will launch in Series 1 and are in stock now available for immediate despatch.

The aim of the hand held action game is for the player to hit their opponent’s cards that can be beaten by the element of their Whacky Shot. This game requires children to use their memory and dexterity skills in a game that encourages their team to get bigger and better. Based on the power wheel, players challenge opponents in this simple rock, paper scissors type game-play using power, speed and skills stats. There are four factions to choose from, including Rogue Robots, Earth Heroes, Invading Aliens and Mutant Beasts.

Nick Saunders, sales director at Brainstorm, commented: “Whacky Shots was a huge hit at the trade shows not least because of the varying retail opportunities it presents. We are fully behind this launch with PR & marketing support commencing with a four week TV campaign over the Easter period. We also have interactive FDUs available so retailers are able to demo product in store.”
