Nickelodeon offers a sneak peek of SpongeBob musical

Musicians including Aerosmith, T.I., Sara Bareilles, Lady Antebellum and John Legend are all providing original music for the show, which is being directed by Tina Landau whose production of Charles Mee’s Big Love is currently playing at Broadway’s Signature Theatre.

A recent presentation from Nickeloden included a performance of the show’s opening number titled Bikini Bottom Day.

Other announcements at the presentation included Noggin, a mobile subscription service for pre-schoolers; numerous new content innovations; future spinoff possibilities for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise; and Nickelodeon Sports, which brings content from the major sports leagues to Nick’s platforms.

Nickelodeon also detailed the suite of its partner services that provides consumer insights, advertising solutions and branded-entertainment opportunities, now formalised under the banner of Nickelodeon Inside Out Solutions.
