Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) has announced the continued global roll-out of Nickelodeon stores, with Dubai opening its doors in 2016.
The store will be based in one of the world’s largest shopping malls, Dubai Mall, which forms part of a $20bn downtown complex and includes more than 1,200 shops.
The Dubai store will be the 12th retail store to open internationally as part of the global relationship with Entertainment Retail Enterprises (ERE). It is the second store to launch in the Middle East, following the opening of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia in August 2013.
“Opening a store in one of the world’s biggest international centres is an incredibly exciting next step for Nickelodeon to continue to work together with world-class partner ERE, to further our collective mission to create engaging and enjoyable experiences around the world,” said Ron Johnson, executive vice president at NVCP.

With over 3,200 square feet of prime retail space, the store will offer kids and families the opportunity to experience and interact with Nickelodeon’s properties including SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Paw Patrol.
NVCP and Entertainment Retail Enterprises has confirmed plans to open more stores in 2016.
